THE PROJECT
SMART4SEA is a European project that enhances environmental traceability and sustainability across the Atlantic seafood sector. By combining digital technologies, Life Cycle Assessment and circular economy strategies, the project develops an innovative system to track the environmental performance of seafood products from sea to plate. SMART4SEA also addresses social challenges, marine waste and microplastics, while providing transparent and trustworthy information to support more sustainable choices by industry, policymakers and consumers.

LE PROJET
SMART4SEA est un projet européen qui renforce la traçabilité environnementale et la durabilité du secteur des produits de la mer dans l’Atlantique. En combinant des technologies numériques, l’analyse du cycle de vie et des stratégies d’économie circulaire, le projet développe un système innovant permettant de suivre la performance environnementale des produits de la mer, de la pêche jusqu’au consommateur. SMART4SEA s’attaque également aux défis sociaux, aux déchets marins et aux microplastiques, tout en fournissant une information transparente et fiable pour soutenir des choix plus durables de la part de l’industrie, des décideurs et des consommateurs.
