On February 11, the partners of the SMART4SEA project (UC, Bitcliq, ANFACO, and ARVI) met at ARVI’s headquarters in Vigo for a key technical coordination meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity to review the project’s progress and plan the next strategic steps.
An immersion in the heart of operational reality
Beyond technical discussions in the conference room, the day was marked by several essential field visits to compare the project’s developments with the realities of the sector:
- Port infrastructure: Visit to the port of Vigo and the ship O’ORIENTE, an active participant in the project, to analyze the operational aspects of the implementation of SMART4SEA.
- Logistics and traceability: A night-time immersion at the Lonja de Vigo allowed participants to observe live the unloading of fish, sales dynamics, and the logistical processes of vessels operating in the Grand Sole area.
The objective: To refine data collection and traceability processes in a real-world context to ensure the effectiveness of the solutions developed.
