The Project Coordinator of SMART4SEA, María Margallo, together with researcher Jara Laso, attended the Training Session for Lead Partners held on Wednesday, 21 January in Porto. The session took place at the premises of Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR Norte) and brought together Lead Partners from Interreg Atlantic Area projects.

The training session was designed to support Lead Partners in the effective management and implementation of Interreg projects, providing practical guidance on key aspects of project coordination. During the day, participants received comprehensive information on topics such as the financial circuit and eligible costs, communication and visibility requirements, and the preparation of progress reports, among other essential elements for sound project management.

This training provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen coordination capacities, clarify implementation procedures and ensure alignment with Programme requirements. Participation in this type of capacity-building event contributes to the smooth execution of SMART4SEA and supports its successful delivery throughout the project lifetime.
