The SMART4SEA project is pleased to invite stakeholders from across the seafood value chain to participate in the Seafood Traceability Forum 2026 – Stakeholder Roundtable Session, taking place at the University of Galway on Friday, 28 August 2026.

This interactive stakeholder forum will bring together representatives from across the seafood sector to discuss the opportunities and challenges surrounding environmental traceability and to help ensure that the solutions developed reflect the needs and priorities of industry.

We welcome participation from:

  • Fishing companies and fishers
  • Primary producers
  • Processors and industrial companies
  • Fish wholesalers and distributors
  • Retailers and resellers
  • Restaurants
  • Other organisations involved in the seafood supply chain

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to roundtable discussions on:

  • Environmental traceability awareness and perceptions
  • Barriers and opportunities for adopting digital traceability tools
  • Consumer expectations and the influence of traceability on purchasing decisions

By participating, you will help shape recommendations to improve environmental traceability across the Atlantic seafood sector, contribute to the development of practical traceability solutions, gain insights into emerging sustainability approaches, and network with industry representatives, researchers and policymakers.

Places are limited to approximately 12–15 participants to encourage meaningful discussion, making every attendee’s contribution especially valuable.
